Salary: VPS 6.2 - $157,356 to $180,115 p.a + 11.5% superannuation

About the role:
You will lead a team responsible for EPA’s ‘on-ground’ front line regulatory response across the South West Victoria Region to prevent harm to communities and the environment from pollution and waste. Working as part of EPA's executive team, you will ensure high standards in compliance, incident management, and strategic partnerships.
In this role you will:
- Contribute to the overall operational strategy and direction of the organisation, ensuring a one-EPA approach to the delivery of priorities
- Lead the region in building, maintaining and leveraging strategic relationships and partnerships to ensure that the EPA is a trusted and influential authority
- Ensure a robust, transparent, risk and evidence-based approach within South West Victoria Region, empowering and supporting staff, and devolving decision making with an appropriate accountability framework embedded within the branch
- Drive a positive culture of performance, accountability, and environmental protection.
- Ensure a risk-based, data-driven approach to regulatory excellence.
Skills and experience:
- Proven leadership in a senior management role, ideally within regulatory operations.
- Strong ability to engage with community and stakeholders, driving meaningful environmental outcomes.
- Experience navigating complex legislation, policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
