Salary: Science B $100,894 - $114,476 + 12% super
Location: Ernest Jones Dr, Macleod - Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office)

About the role:
You’ll support the delivery of air science advice that informs EPA’s regulatory and strategic decisions. Working within a specialised team, you’ll contribute to understanding and managing air quality issues to help prevent harm to the environment and community.
In this role you will:
- Support the provision of scientific advice to inform regulatory and strategic decisions on air quality and air pollution
- Assist with analysing scientific evidence and contributing to statements of opinion used in compliance and enforcement activities
- Communicate scientific and technical information in a clear and accessible way to a range of audiences
- Contribute to projects, research and analysis to support EPA’s understanding of air pollution issues
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders, while developing your technical capability
Skills and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in science, environmental science, engineering or similar, ideally with a focus on air
- Foundational experience in environmental science, preferably with some exposure to air quality or pollution
- Good understanding of environmental risk assessment principles
- Understanding of air quality and air pollution concepts, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and develop within a collaborative team environment
