About the role:

Reporting to the Manager, Compliance Programs, the Team Leader, Compliance Reporting is a senior member of a team responsible for delivering state-wide compliance programs that are delivered away from the field, largely through the review of duty holder and community reports.

 

In this role you will: 

  • Lead a small team responsible for leading EPA’s regulatory response to industry reporting.
  • Plan, oversight and deliver the statewide compliance reporting program including the National Pollution Inventory and National Packaging Program.
  • Work closely with the Manager, Compliance Programs to support the delivery of all of EPA’s statewide compliance programs based on prioritised demand.
  • Support inspections, investigations, and enforcement action by providing information on where potential breaches of environmental laws have occurred.
  • Lead a centre of expertise, upskill regional operations teams and other parts of EPA including by providing training and technical advice.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Senior level experience as a regulator.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Victoria’s environmental protection laws.
  • Advanced management skills and demonstrated capability to plan, monitor and deliver multiple concurrent projects / programs.
  • Ability to implement performance management and development frameworks that manage staff performance.
  • Knowledge of the National Pollution Inventory and National Packaging Program is desirable.
  • A relevant tertiary degree or qualifications is desirable.
