About the role:

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will use your initiative to monitor, prioritise and manage workflow across the Development Advisory Unit and facilitate the triage and assessment of planning, development and earth resources applications referred to EPA by state and local government, planning authorities and Resources Victoria.

 

In this role you will: 

  • Working under the direction of the Team Leader, Development and Earth Resources Advisory, monitor, prioritise and manage the referral workflow across the Development Advisory Unit to facilitate the delivery of EPA’s function as referral authority.
  • Actively contribute to the development of a positive and high performing team culture, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork practices. 
  • Undertake administrative processes and other tasks as directed for the effective achievement of regulatory outcomes; ensure that all Government and EPA policies and procedures, such and financial management, occupational health and safety, and conduct are complied with.   

 

Skills and experience:

  • A proven record of achievement in a similar role contributing to organisational excellence, high standards of performance and a positive organisational culture.
  • A relevant tertiary degree and/or post graduate qualifications is desirable.
  • Experience in providing business support is desirable, preferably in a planning environment.
  • Knowledge of the Victorian Planning System is desirable.
  • A broad understanding of environmental regulation as it relates to pollution and waste is desirable.
