About the role:
Exciting opportunity influencing major transport, energy, and resource projects in Victoria, ensuring alignment with EPA's goals. It requires strong technical and regulatory skills and project management expertise across all stages. You will engage with proponents and provide regulatory and technical advice to achieve optimal outcomes aligned to EPA’s strategic priorities to prevent risk of harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
In this role you will:
- Lead and facilitate state-significant infrastructure, energy, and earth resource projects.
- Provide authoritative and timely technical and regulatory advice on the environmental protection framework.
- Offer expert guidance on environmental protection regulations promptly and decisively.
- Establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, to streamline EPA's role in major infrastructure endeavours.
- Collaborate effectively with teams to ensure accountability and timely completion of complex projects.
Skills and experience
- Senior-level experience in government-related development advisory roles.
- Proficient in communication, stakeholder management, and major project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technically complex projects within regulatory contexts.
- Strong commitment to accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
