Location: 664 Collins Street, Docklands - Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office)

About the role:
You will lead a small team to deliver procurement and contracting services for the organisation. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to drive cost savings, process improvements as well as manage supply chain risks such as modern slavery. It will be important to ensure compliance with EPA policies and Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) requirements.
In this role you will:
- Formulate and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to optimise processes and achieve significant cost savings and process efficiencies
- Manage a team, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
- Manage contract structures, commercial terms, and any departures, providing expert contract management advice and deferring to legal division when necessary.
- Oversee and manage budgets, ensuring expenditures remain within approved limits while identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and strengthen effectively stakeholders’ relationships, both internally and externally at EPA, to build strong working relationships and achieve high quality outcomes.
- Promote and enforce high ethical standards in all procurement activities, ensuring fair treatment of suppliers, transparency in the procurement process, and adherence to ethical guidelines.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with EPA policies and legal requirements and prepare detailed and regular reports on procurement performance.
Skills and experience:
- Substantial experience in procurement, logistics and contract management, preferably within both government and private sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team.
- A relevant tertiary degree and/or postgraduate qualifications in procurement, business management, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Proven Experience in the procurement of ICT good and services.
- Knowledge of procurement, logistics, supply chain and contract management.
