About the role:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager, Facilities, Fleet and Sustainability leads and manages a team responsible for providing safe, secure, and fit-for-purpose facilities and fleet assets. The focus for this role is high-quality service delivery across the organisation as well as leading the delivery of corporate initiatives that drive positive environmental and sustainability outcomes.

 

In this role you will: 

  • Oversee the provision of accommodation services by the Department of Government Services and third-party service providers.
  • Lead internal delivery of all facilities and fleet services across all EPA sites, including all occupational health and safety requirements are met.
  • Lead the strategic planning of EPA’s Regulatory Science Centre - Facilities and Accommodation Program.
  • Lead the development and implementation of corporate sustainability initiatives to meet targets in EPAs new Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) 2024-2027 Statement and other Victorian climate action targets set to achieve Net Zero emissions.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Senior level experience managing facilities and assets as well as delivering sustainability projects/programs.
  • Extensive experience leading complex infrastructure or operational transition programs in laboratory or manufacturing environments
  • Senior experience and a record of achievement in the delivery of large-scale change initiatives, preferably within government.
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and external contractors, with experience working across multiple stakeholders on large scale programs relating to facility construction or relocation planning to deliver beneficial outcomes.
  • Strong strategic planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex information to senior decision makers
