About the role:

You will deliver intelligence services and support which may include financial analysis, aligned to EPA’s strategic priorities to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste. In addition to core intelligence functions, the role provides administrative support to the Intelligence and Insights team, including shared inbox management, and secretariat function for meetings.

 

In this role you will: 

  • Working under the direction of the Senior Intelligence Analyst, plan and deliver strategic, tactical and operational intelligence (such as target profiling, imagery analysis and network charting).
  • Provide administrative support for the Intelligence and Insights Team. This includes managing a shared inbox, triaging and allocating tasks, undertaking secretariat functions such as preparing agendas and taking minutes for meetings, and performing other administrative duties as required.
  • Conduct intelligence analysis and develop insights to support regulatory operations and investigations to detect, prevent and investigate environmental crime and support the design, implementation and evaluation of compliance programs and preventative projects.
  • Support regulatory operations and investigations by providing fit-for-purpose intelligence products, managing associated legislative and compliance obligations.
  • Develop and implement data and information collection systems and storage.
  • Contribute to the uplift of intelligence capability across the EPA.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience as an intelligence analyst with tactical, operational and/or strategic intelligence in a law enforcement or regulatory environment.
  • A relevant tertiary degree and/or post graduate qualifications in Criminology, Criminal Justice and Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage administrative responsibilities efficiently, including minute-taking and coordinating meetings with precision and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and information.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver written and verbal content to stakeholders at multiple levels within and external to the organisation.
