About the role:
This is a senior role for an experienced human resources professional that wants to contribute to the success of the EPA as it enters a new era of environmental protection in Victoria. Working closely with the Manager, People and Performance, you will be responsible for human resources business partnering, building organisational capacity, capability, and an inclusive culture throughout the organisation.
In this role you will:
- Deliver strategic HR business partnering to people leaders in the EPA to facilitate a range of immediate and medium-term human resource management initiatives including development of strategic workforce plans, managing employee relations, performance management processes, wellbeing, and culture change management.
- As a member and senior advisor to senior management teams across the EPA, ensure that human resource management and the optimisation of workforce performance is a key consideration in strategic and operational decision making.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary human resources management practices that enable people leaders to establish a high performing, safe and inclusive workplace culture.
- Contribute to the development of myEPA to be a trusted source of workforce information that supports decision making by advancing self-service knowledge and ensuring data errors and inconsistencies are remedied as soon as practicable.
Skills and Experience:
- A relevant tertiary degree and/or post graduate qualifications in human resources management, business management or a related discipline is desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic human resources management, preferably within Government.
- Strong data literacy and interpretation skills to aid making informed and strategic business decisions.
- Proven ability to work as an effective member of a cohesive team, with a demonstrated commitment to the successful delivery of the highest organisational priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, capable of fostering meaningful relationships and collaboration across diverse groups.
- Proven ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives and procedures, to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.
- Knowledge and skills in a diverse range of human resources specialties including selection techniques, conflict resolution, investigations, workforce, and succession planning, change management, employee relations and health, safety, and wellbeing.
