About the role: 

You will be responsible for providing place-based front of house and administrative services in EPA’s regional offices. You will use your initiative to prioritise tasks and monitor workflow in delivering high quality support that enables regulatory excellence in preventing harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.

 

In this role you will:  

  • Provide general administrative support to EPA staff within the regional office, including management of correspondence, filing and records management, document management, management of office supplies (including stock management and ordering as required); aid with meeting catering, booking travel and accommodation for EPA staff

  • Provide front-of house services during office hours, including greeting and registering visitors, and responding to and/or directing public enquiries.

  • Assist the regional management team in responding to Freedom of Information requests, induction of new employees, implementation of occupational health and safety actions, data entry and report generation and provision of secretariat support.

  • Work with Corporate Services and the Division Support Unit in the management of fleet, assets, finance (including petty cash) and facilities, ensuring all compliance requirements are met.

 

Skills and experience: 

  • Experience in providing front of house and/or administrative support services, preferably in government is desirable

  • A broad understanding of environmental regulation as it relates to pollution and waste is desirable.

  • Ability to work as an effective member of a cohesive team, with a demonstrated commitment to the successful delivery of the highest organisational priorities; proven capability to build and sustain enduring relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of outcomes and achievement of goals and targets

  • A record of achievement in a similar role contributing to organisational excellence, high standards of performance and a positive organisational culture.
