About the role: 

You will be responsible for EPA's regulatory response including education, compliance monitoring, and enforcement actions.

In this role you will:  

  • Plan and deliver regulatory actions to prevent harm to communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
  • Participate in the response to environmental and public health emergencies and incidents.
  • Contribute to team culture and development, actively participating in investigations and emergency responses.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members, contribute to compliance projects, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive improved environmental outcomes.

Skills and experience: 

To be successful in this role you will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, have demonstrated experience and a record of achievement in a relevant regulatory role (e.g., environmental regulation), and have excellent organisational skills, particularly in managing, prioritising, and delivering a range of regulatory actions. A relevant tertiary qualification and/or industry experience is desirable.
