About the role:

You will be responsible for enabling and supporting permission and waste designation assessments across the State of Victoria, with a particular focus on coordinating applications to support the State’s major infrastructure projects. You will provide high quality application coordination support to the Permitting Unit to triage, review and report upon permit and designation applications that enable regulatory excellence in preventing harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste. 

 

In this role you will:

  • Manage and triage incoming applications for permissions and approvals, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Facilitate communication between Permissioning and applicants/representatives of major infrastructure projects.
  • Project manage EPA’s tracking and monitoring of major infrastructure project permission and waste designation applications.
  • Implement continuous improvement principles to enhance internal processes within the Permissioning branch.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in Permissioning functions, preferably within Government.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and permission assessment processes.
  • Expertise in project management and coordination.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and foster enduring relationships.
